French blue is the colorway that makes Roseto look like it came out of a country kitchen rather than a carton. Glaze over a raised pattern has something to do: the blue reads lighter where the relief rises and deeper where it dips, with no decal involved. The twelve-piece service for four runs 10.75-inch dinner plates, 8.5-inch accents, and 14-ounce bowls.
Blue that earns the name
French blue is softer and grayer than navy, which is why it settles in next to wood, raw linen, and plain white serving pieces without a fight. It is also a color most kitchens already contain somewhere, so a Roseto setting does not require the rest of the table to be rebuilt around it.
A dinner plate with margin
At 10.75 inches across, the dinner plate runs wider than the common 10.25, and the difference shows the moment a sauced main has to share the surface with two sides. Nothing crowds out to the rim, so the embossed border stays visible instead of disappearing under dinner.
Both machines cleared
Stoneware this substantial sometimes arrives with handling rules attached. Roseto does not: dishwasher safe and microwave safe across all twelve pieces, so plates go from reheated leftovers to the bottom rack without anybody sorting them out of the load first.
