The champagne tone on Reid runs warm rather than white-silver, and tumbling keeps the shine deliberately uneven.

Champagne is the gentler member of the Reid family. The tone sits somewhere between pale gold and warm steel, and because the surface is tumbled rather than polished it glows in patches instead of flashing. On a cream cloth with autumn colors it reads as soft metal rather than cutlery. Twenty pieces, four settings of five.
A warm metal, not a cold one
Most flatware is some version of white silver, which is why a warm tone resets a table so quickly. Champagne leans toward brass without going brassy, and it sits well with wood, stoneware and anything in the amber part of the spectrum. Against stark white china it looks softer than the room expected.
Why the finish is tumbled
Tumbling leaves a textured, rugged shine: light is returned unevenly, the way it is from a worn antique rather than from a new polish. That hides fingerprints and small scuffs, and it means the set is not going to look suddenly older after its first year of weeknight dinners.
What arrives and how it is covered
The box holds four five-piece place settings: dinner knives, dinner forks, salad forks, dinner spoons and teaspoons. The steel is high-quality 18/0 for durability and rust resistance, the set is dishwasher safe, and a limited lifetime warranty stands behind it. Imported.
