Marquette is recognized by two things: a handle that flares at the end and a run of small beads along the border. This set adds four dinner knives to a service already wearing that pattern, mirror finished over 18/8 stainless. Knives are the pieces that get set aside, washed with the pans and quietly misfiled, so four at a time is a sensible refill.
What the beading does
Beading is a border of small raised dots running the edge of the handle. On Marquette it is kept fine rather than chunky, which is why the pattern reads as traditional without looking fussy. It also gives the thumb something to register when you pick the knife up, a texture you notice before you look down at it.
Mirror finish and weight
Handles and blades are polished to a mirror, so they throw light back the way a bright pattern should. The knives are weighted heavy in the hand, which is the other half of how flatware feels. A light replacement knife sitting next to heavy originals announces itself immediately. These do not.
18/8 steel through the dishwasher
18/8 stainless resists rust through ordinary machine washing, and these are built for exactly that. Load them, run them, put them away. The one habit worth keeping is lifting them out of a damp basket rather than leaving them overnight pressed against other metals.
