Jordan was designed for casual restaurants and everyday home meals, and the restraint shows: a two-tone handle that stops well short of showy, satin finished, extra strong but light in the hand. Eight dinner forks here, which is a full table rather than a top-up. The steel is 18/0 for durability and rust protection, and it washes clean in a dishwasher.

Two-tone without the swagger

The pattern puts two surface tones on one handle, which gives the fork something to look at without carving anything into it. Against a plain white plate it registers as a detail rather than a decoration. It is the kind of design that does not date, because there is little there to date.

Light but not flimsy

Jordan is described as extra strong and delicately light, which sounds contradictory until you have held a thin fork that flexes against a steak. Strength in flatware comes from how the steel is worked, not only from how much of it there is. That is the restaurant trade-off, carried into a home drawer.

Eight at a time

Eight matching forks sets a table for eight, or doubles the fork count on a service for four. For a pattern meant to be used hard, buying in blocks makes more sense than buying settings, since it is rarely the knives that run short first in a working kitchen.
