Understatement is not what Wordsworth is for. The handle carries flowers in full bloom and a high-shine finish to go with them, which is the point of a pattern that sets itself against modern plainness. This set brings four teaspoons in that style: mirror finished, heavy in the hand, in 18/0 stainless that resists rust and washes clean in the machine.
Full bloom, not a hint of one
Floral flatware comes in degrees, from a suggestion at the tip to a handle covered edge to edge. Wordsworth sits at the committed end. The blossoms are modelled with real relief, and on a teaspoon, which is the piece most often seen up close beside a cup, that depth is what the pattern is actually bought for.
Weight on a small piece
Heavy teaspoons are rarer than heavy forks, because the easiest place to save metal is the smallest piece. Oneida does not here, and the extra mass changes how the spoon sits against the saucer and in the fingers. It also makes the replacement obvious to identify when it goes into a drawer with lighter spoons from elsewhere.
Shine held through the dishwasher
The mirror finish is what lights the carving, so keeping it clear is worth a little attention. 18/0 stainless gives the rust protection needed for routine machine washing, and the spoons come out ready for the table. Drying them before they go back in the drawer is the only step that pays off visibly.
