Paul Revere takes its name and its shape from colonial New England: symmetrical, understated, with a handle contoured to the hand rather than decorated. The finish is satin instead of mirror, so the steel glows rather than flashes. Four dinner spoons at 6.8 inches each, in 18/10 stainless, the finest grade the line is made from.
Satin changes the whole table
A satin finish scatters light where a mirror bounces it, and the practical result is a spoon that does not throw the ceiling fixture into your eyes and does not keep a record of every fingerprint. On a wood table it reads closer to old pewter than to new steel.
The contoured handle
The handle is shaped rather than flat, widening slightly through the middle and easing toward the end. It is the only ornament the pattern allows itself, and it is why Paul Revere feels older than it looks. The whole design is proportion and surface, with nothing applied on top.
Sized for soup and everyday use
At 6.8 inches this is standard dinner spoon length, equally at home in a soup bowl and a cereal bowl. 18/10 stainless keeps the satin surface smooth and rust free through machine washing, and the satin itself absorbs the fine scratches a mirror finish would put on display.
